土曜日, 5 月 31st, 2008Yoshinori Niwa (b.1982) who graduated from Tama Art University department of moving image and performing arts in 2005, is a physical performance artist who often incorporates animals, plants, and the environment into his work. Niwa’s aim is to explore how to live with others, especially those of other cultures and social classes. Niwa has performed works in Britain, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, and Slovakia. In addition to his performance work, Niwa is curator and festival organizer. Niwa is currently coordinating an international art festival titled “Artist as Activist” in Tokyo.His representative works “Yankee Chicken Farm” he tryed to talk to the chichen that was raised near in the situation of bird flu was prevalent in Japan 2004.He tryed to talk to them about Iraqi war,ordinary things around him.This project was continued for six month.Also about his works “Transforming puddle A to puddle B”,Changing venue,He have continued this activity from 2003 around the world.In this performance,he try to give us an possibility of imagination for all the poor people.He just suck a puddle in the street and spit at another puddle.However we can discovery a praying attitude for humanity.This performance can change its form depend on whether and venue and audience.
and He also is art festival organizer.He often have organized small art project in Japan.He these days get to organize international contemporary art festival between Japan and Europe,U.S.A. in medium of performance/live art or experimental art form.
